Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines were after Fears in the first go-around and a case can be made that they could use one more guard. They landed transfers Rubin Jones and Tre Donaldson and a trio of incoming freshmen (Durral Brooks, Lorenzo Cason, and Justin Pippen). Compared to the other newcomers, Fears is ranked higher, even after he’d reclass.

Jeremiah playing for the rival school as his rival Jeremy (Michigan State) would make for an interesting dynamic for the family but Michigan doesn’t care, considering that they landed Roddy Gayle Jr. from Ohio State. From a national standpoint, it’d be great to have both Fears guards start at the Michigan schools in the future, which would be possible.

Michigan State Spartans

For obvious reasons, Michigan State would be a good fit for Jeremiah. He’d get to play with his brother, who officially has four more seasons after getting a medical redshirt. With both Tyson Walker and AJ Hoggard gone, the brothers could be part of the new era of the Spartans’ backcourt.

Michigan State does have a pair of four-star off-guards joining the team in Kur Teng and Jase Richardson. With junior Tre Holloman also in the mix, there could be a logjam for Jeremiah to deal with but since he can play multiple positions, that’ll help improve the chances to have the Fears brothers one day start together.
