There's another quality prospect out of the DMV area close to making a decision, as Chris Jeffrey reportedly will announce on October 2nd. He's a 6'3 ball-handler who primarily plays the point guard position. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Jeffery is a consensus top-100 recruit who's a strong defender and good passer overall.

There are now three teams in the mix to land Jeffery, with not much time to sway him. Does any stand out from a roster standpoint? Here's a closer look at his options.

Maryland Terrapins

The Terrapins are the new "hometown" option for Jeffrey, a team who'll lose backups Jahari Long and Jayhlon Young after this season but Belmont transfer Ja'Kobi Gillespie could be around for the next few years. But with transfer Selton Miguel also leaving, there's room for Jeffery to be part of the future backcourt, though he may have to play without the ball more.

Mississippi State Bulldogs

Coach Chris Jans can sell Jeffrey on the success that Josh Hubbard had this past season as a true freshman. He's back, joined by Penn State transfer Kanye Clary, along with four-star freshman guard Deliquan Warren. Considering that the Bulldogs also have four-star commit King Grace in the 2025 class, there's going to be a logjam for Jeffrey unless one of those starters opts to go pro early.

Texas A&M Aggies

There are two clear selling points that Coach Buzz Williams can make with Jeffrey. One is the success of Wade Taylor, one of the best point guards in all of NCAA Basketball. Two is the fact that not only is he leaving after this season but so is the rest of the Aggies backcourt, as they're all seniors.

Texas A&M does have four-star guard commit Jeremiah Green part of the 2025 class but there's still plenty of room for someone like Jeffrey to come in and have a meaningful role as well. Will that be enough to get him out of Maryland?
