One of the top guard prospects in the 2025 NCAA Basketball recruiting class is Darius Adams, a 6'5 shooting guard originally from New Jersey, who now plays in Indiana. He's a fantastic shooter and scorer with size and measurables that'll translate to the higher levels.

Adams is a consensus top-30 prospect, with 247sportsComposite listing him as a 5-star candidate. He's had plenty of interest from top teams and reportedly has a decision coming at the end of the month on the 30th.

Just three teams remain. Which of them is the best potential fit? Here's a closer look.

Michigan State Spartans

The Spartans are coming off losing guards Tyson Walker and AJ Hoggard, with the current core of playmakers largely unproven. Plus, senior Jaden Akins will be gone after this season. This is an opportunity for Adams to come in and potentially be the go-to option for Michigan State while also being developed by Hall of Fame head coach, Tom Izzo.

Tennessee Volunteers

While he doesn't have a national title like the other two coaches on this list, Rick Barnes has a great resume of his own at both Texas and now Tennessee. He also has some former star guards he can use to help sell Adams, including former 5-star prospects, Kennedy Chandler, and Jaden Springer. With all of the projected rotation pieces all being guards on the roster, Adams can come in and have a big role as a freshman for the SEC program.

UConn Huskies

It's going to be hard to say no to a team coming off two straight national championships, along with an NCAA Basketball-high four players selected in the most recent NBA Draft. With Cam Spencer and Stephon Castle gone, the Huskies can offer Adams a chance to have a large role as a freshman and potentially start, depending on how things work with Saint Mary's transfer, Aidan Mahaney.

One of these three programs are going to land a 5-star talent with plenty of offensive potential. But which one will win? All three have key selling points but in the end, will UConn land another big win?
