We're more than halfway through the college basketball offseason. Rosters are being finalized as the 2024-25 NCAA Basketball season comes into focus.

Since the UConn Huskies cut down the nets for the second straight season, we've featured multiple iterations of top 25 rankings for the coming season. Today, we're using the most recent rankings as a frame to identify the most valuable player on each of the top teams.

Who will be the most valuable player for each of the top teams entering the 2024-25 college basketball campaign?

These are the players whose names are worth remembering in both November and March as their respective teams look to make it a memorable season on the hardwood.

Honorable Mention 1. Texas Longhorns - G Tramon Mark

Texas lost some critical players from a year ago, particularly in the backcourt, where the dynamic duo of Max Abmas and Tyrese Hunter are gone. While the Longhorns made plenty of splashes in the transfer portal - including the late addition of Arthur Kaluma - the most critical may have been former Houston and Arkansas guard Tramon Mark. He averaged 16.2 points per game in his lone season with the Razorbacks, ranking 10th in the SEC (where he'll be playing again due to conference realignment).

Honorable Mention 2. UCLA Bruins - G Dylan Andrews

As Mick Cronin looks to turn the page on a difficult season in Los Angeles, he's handing the keys to Dylan Andrews. As a sophomore and full-time starter, Andrews averaged 12.9 points per game and 3.7 assists. Andrews played more than 35 minutes per contest last year and will need to be run ragged again, though ideally with fewer turnovers and better shooting efficiency.
