UConn vs. San Diego State TV schedule and announcers for Sweet 16
By Josh Yourish
We have a national title rematch set for the East Regional Semifinal from the TD Garden in Boston on Thursday night. Last year, the UConn Huskies rolled through the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed and the No. 5 seed San Diego State Aztecs met them in the final. This year, Danny Hurley’s team is a dominant force, the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, and the Aztecs are back on the five-line, but have a chance for revenge and a spot in the Elite Eight for the second straight year.
Both of these teams look quite a bit different. For UConn, Tristen Newton is the only returning starter, but the point guard has plenty of talent around him, from Donovan Clingan, who was Adama Sanogo’s backup last year, to Cam Spencer, a Rutgers transfer. On the other side, San Diego State graduated many of the team’s leaders, but Jaedon LeDee has turned into a start. LeDee is averaging 29 points through the first two games of the tournament.
UConn breezed through the first weekend, while SDSU was tested in the first round by UAB, but the Aztecs are on a roll now after beating Yale 85-57 to get through to the Sweet 16. Now, here’s how you can watch the national title rematch from Boston on Thursday night.
