Potential Starting Lineup for Wake Forest

Point Guard: Ty-Laur Johnson | 6'0 | 170 lbs

Johnson is the first new face out of the transfer portal to get to know, though Louisville fans will be familiar with him when both teams square off on Jan. 28. He spent the 2023-24 season with the Louisville Cardinals, where he produced 8.7 points, 3.6 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. It's clear from his production he can be a consistent presence in the rotation in the ACC, though his perimeter shooting could use improvement. He'll look to take over the point guard spot with the departure of Kevin Miller.

Guard: Cameron Hildreth | 6'4 | 195 lbs

Hildreth returns as one of the top returning scorers for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He shot a career-high 35.1 percent from behind the arc while averaging 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in the backcourt. The England native has shown he can operate in a variety of ways at either guard role for the Demon Deacons and returns in Year 4 really looking to elevate this rotation.

Guard/Wing: Hunter Sallis | 6'5 | 185 lbs

Sallis is the versatile guard/wing the Demon Deacons will look to rely upon once again this season. After earning First Team All-ACC honors this past season, he showed he could hold his own in the ACC. Sallis produced 18.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in his first year with Wake Forest. Look for him to push the envelope with more talent around him in 2024-25.

Forward: TreVon Spillers | 6'7 | 215 lbs

Spillers is probably the most important transfer joining the Demon Deacons rotation this upcoming season. He's an electric 6-foot-7 forward prospect who's shown he can control the pace of the game with his energy and presence on both ends of the floor. He was a First Team All-Sun Belt selection this past season with Appalachian State while recording 12.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game off his JUCO debut. He ranked fifth this past season in the Sun Belt in blocks (44).

Center/Forward: Efton Reid III | 7'0 | 250 lbs

Reid proved to be a solid fit at his third destination in the Wake Forest frontcourt as evidenced by his overall production this past season. He put up career-highs in pretty much every category with 9.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 54.6 percent from the floor and 28.1 percent (9-for-32) from behind the arc. He'll need to prove he can stay out of foul trouble after finishing 11th in the ACC in blocks (36) in 2024-25.
