Wake Forest Basketball: 2024-25 season preview for Demon Deacons
Reserves for Wake Forest
Backcourt depth could be an issue if/when their duo of Hunter Sallis and Cameron Hildreth need rest but they've got players in position to fill the void, led by Parker Friedrichsen.
Parker Friedrichsen | 6'4 Guard | 185 lbs.
Friedrichsen fared well in his debut with the Demon Deacons in 2023-24, averaging 5.1 points and 1.3 rebounds on 36.5 percent shooting from 3-point range. He'll look to increase his usage and overall production in the backcourt with a bigger role on the horizon as their potential first guard off the bench.
Omaha Biliew | 6'8 Forward | 225 lbs.
Biliew's arrival in Winston-Salem is surrounded with a lot of buzz, though much it is of the "potential" variety. He played sparingly in his first year of college basketball with the Iowa State Cyclones in the Big 12. He averaged just 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest across 7.4 minutes per game in 2023-24. His addition in the frontcourt should prove to be a solid one as others in the frontcourt should push him to compete as an ACC caliber player.
Churchill Abass | 6'10 Forward/Center | 250 lbs.
Abass is another import from the transfer portal from DePaul. He posted 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game on 57.8 percent shooting from the floor as a freshman, appearing in 30 games and making 13 starts. He's another frontcourt addition who should fill a void on the rebounding and defending front given his size and frame.
Davin Cosby | 6'5 Guard | 210 lbs.
Cosby joins the Wake Forest backcourt after spending the past two years at Alabama, one as a redshirt in 2022-23. He averaged 3.6 points per game while shooting 34.4 percent from deep off the bench for the Crimson Tide in 2023-24. He'll be looked upon to provide some shooting support off the bench this season.
Juke Harris | 6'7 Guard | 200 lbs.
Harris is a guard from the 2024 recruiting class with a ton of potential given his ability to shoot the ball efficiently and in a hurry. He ranks 70th in the ESPN 100 2025 Class after scoring over 2,000 points in his career at Salisbury High in North Carolina. He hasn't had to travel far to prove he can play at the next level and should have plenty of opportunities off the bench this season.
