Overall schedule for Wake Forest in 2024-25

Last season, the Demon Deacons lost five of their last eight games in ACC play. This go around, they'll need to have a stronger finish down the stretch to have a fighting chance at an NCAA Tournament bid. Some would say they got snubbed this past year with a 21-14 record and victories over Florida in non-conference play and No. 9-ranked Duke, but all signs point to their finish to the regular season schedule as to why.

The Demon Deacons will host Coppin State (Nov. 4) and North Carolina A&T (Nov. 7) to open the season. They'll meet the Michigan Wolverines in the Deacon-Wolverine Challenge at the Greensboro Coliseum on Nov. 10 on ESPN2. They'll host USC Upstate before traveling to face Xavier in Cincinnati on Nov. 16.

A home stand against Western Carolina (Nov. 19) and Detroit (Nov. 23) rounds things out before they head to Orlando for the ESPN Events Invitational. They'll open up against Florida then face Minnesota/Wichita State, depending on the results.

They'll kick off December with Texas A&M on the road on the third in the ACC/SEC Challenge followed by Boston College at home then their final non-conference game on Dec. 17 against James Madison before beginning the rest of ACC play.

It's not entirely out of the equation that this group could go 12-0 or 11-1 in non-conference play with their biggest threat being the Texas A&M Aggies. Boston College should be a measuring stick against the rest of the conference before they travel to Clemson on Dec. 21.

There are a few early tests on the schedule with an early January meeting with the NC State Wolfpack and back-to-back games against UNC (Jan. 21) and Duke (Jan. 25). There's no such thing as an easy win in the conference and their schedule holds true. They'll also travel to Cameron Indoor on March 3 before closing out the schedule against Georgia Tech at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on March 8.
