06. Texas A&M Aggies (14-4, 3-2)
The Aggies are 3-2 in SEC play and have a few huge wins this season, but Texas A&M hasn’t necessarily looked great over the past few games. A&M fell flat on the road earlier this week against Kentucky and then bounced back to beat LSU by 11. The good news is that Wade Taylor IV has finally returned to the lineup, which should only help the defense as we get further into conference play.
05. Ole Miss Rebels (15-3, 4-1)
Speaking of great defenses. Ole Miss has, somehow, gotten even better defensively since SEC play started. Though the Rebels gave up 84 points in a loss to in-state rival MSU on Saturday, Ole Miss held a great Alabama offense to only 64 points a few days earlier. Chris Beard has a reputation as a great defensive coach, and over the past five games that has been on display. Watch out for Ole Miss moving forward.
04. Florida Gators (16-2, 3-2)
Florida lost its first home this season to Missouri but followed that up with a dominant win over Texas. Even with two losses early in the SEC portion of the season, Florida has still looked like one of the best teams in the country. Following a loss this season, the Gators are winning games by an average of 27 points. Florida will need to play more consistent defense, but there shouldn't be any concern about how good this team is.
