The Syracuse Orange are 5-4 and 0-1 in ACC action heading into an afternoon matchup with the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday at 2 PM EST on the ACC Network.

Syracuse is still searching for their identity on both ends of the floor with the second month of the college basketball season rolling along. Offensively, the Orange are hsooting just 27.3 percent from behind the arc and 47.3 percent from the field. Defensively, they're allowing 80.0 points per game while opponents are shooting 32.8 percent from 3-point land and 45.7 percent from the floor.

The Orange have lost four of their last six contests heading into a non-conference meeting with the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday afternoon. Syracuse has won the last two meetings between the teams and five of the last seven meetings going into Saturday's matchup.

It's been tough sledding for the Orange so far in 2024-25 since starting the season 3-0.It seems that Power 6 foes are the Orange' kryptonite so far in 2024-25. Considering Georgetown is another Power 6 foe for Syracuse to worry about, they shouldn't take the Hoyas lightly.

They've got losses to Texas (SEC), Texas Tech (Big 12) and Tennessee (SEC) on their non-conference resume. Then, they dropped their ACC regular-season opener against Notre Dame on the road this past Saturday.

This Saturday, Syracuse has a chance to turn things around and show their growth against a 7-2 Georgetown Hoyas which is seemingly surging at the right time. Take a look at the three keys to victory.
