The first few days of the season have been filled with some great games and high-scoring affairs. While a lot of teams have played mid-majors or Division II schools, the talent across the country this year has shown in many ways. With over 60 Division I games in action today, there are plenty of options for fans to choose to watch. Here are our top 3 games for November 7.
#24 Richmond @ #4 Texas

The best game of the day comes from a top-25 matchup in Austin. The Richmond Spiders won the Atlantic 10 last season and made it to the Round of 32 of March Madness. Their top two scorers from last season return in forward Maggie Doogan and guard Rachel Ullstrom. The Spiders also started their season off well, beating Mount St. Mary's 83-49. On the flip side, the Texas Longhorns showed why they were the #4 team in the nation by putting up a whopping 123 points and beating Incarnate Word 123-51. Six Longhorns scored 16 or more points in that game and looked good from start to finish. In a matchup last season, where the Longhorns won by 11, this game is going to be a must-watch for women's hoops fans.
Bowling Green @ #2 South Carolina

Despite this game likely being overlooked by many fans, it is a battle of two 1-0 teams that should make for an interesting game. The Bowling Green Falcons won their first game of the season against Louisiana 82-67. Their starting guard, Paige Kohler, was named to the All-MAC preseason team, and she showed why in their opening game, putting up 18 points with four assists. This team just missed the tournament last season and will be looking for revenge. Meanwhile, South Carolina looked like the Gamecocks we all know, defeating Grand Canyon 94-54. Florida State transfer Ta'Niya Latson and returner Tessa Johnson were a great backdoor duo, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively. With a team hungry for a postseason berth and one of the top teams in the country going at it, this is set to be a great contest.
#12 Ole Miss @ Alabama A&M

The final game that rounds out our top three is an interesting one, as the 12th team in the nation, Ole Miss, travels to Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs are not a team to take lightly, as they were the second-best team in the SWAC last season, and made the NIT with a 21-10 record. They return the projected SWAC Player of the Year in Kalia Walker. The transfer from Arkansas-Pine Bluff had a solid season last season, averaging 14.1 points per game. On the other side, the Rebels had a solid debut, winning 87-46 over Norfolk State. The team played well today, despite the starters being mixed with returners and transfers. This game will be a big one for the Rebels to win, especially on the road.
