Find the right starting mix

NC State enters Saturday's meeting against Kansas with three players averaging double-figures in scoring and their recent transfer portal additions in Dontrez Styles, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Marcus Hill are flourishing.

The Wolfpack have already utilized four different starting lineups in 2024-25 but it seems they've found one that's worked to perfection so far. Marcus Hill, Michael O'Connell, Jayden Taylor, Ben Middle Brooks and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield have seemingly become the right mix to keep things on the up-and-up for NC State.

NC State is currently 4-1 when that combination is in the starting rotation on the young season. They've found success playing with two big men in their rotation and what also helps is Huntley-Hatfield's ability to operate on the perimeter.

Huntley-Hatfield will just need to prove he can be a factor as a stretch-forward or it could be a long afternoon ahead for the Wolfpack.
