NC State Basketball: 3 keys to victory on the road against Kansas Jayhawks
It's A Parkers' World!
Sophomore Dennis Parker Jr. and freshman Trey Parker are starting to assert themselves on the wing. Their performance on the road at Allen Fieldhouse could be a pivotal moment in both of their careers.
Dennis Parker seemingly had his "arrival" game this past Tuesday in the Wolfpack's victory over Coppin State. He put together a 10-point, 4-rebound and 2-assist effort off the bench in 26 minutes of action. If given big minutes on Saturday, look for him to play a key role in NC State's success.
As for Trey Parker, he's an athletic guard who's shown flashes of his ability to score in bunches. He put up nine points and three rebounds against BYU as part of the starting lineup already this season. The 6-foot-1 guard is averaging 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game on 43.6 percent shooting from the floor across nine appearances. He's another player, if given big minutes off the bench, due to thrive in Coach Kevin Keatts' system.
It will be interesting to see their approach on Saturday afternoon. Be sure to tune in to the game at 3:15 PM EST on ESPN.
