09. Arkansas Razorbacks (10-2)
Arkansas is starting to get all of its pieces back at the right time. The Razorbacks are as healthy as they have been all season, and have a couple of massive wins in the last two games to prove it. While the games against Central Arkansas and North Carolina A&T aren’t quality wins by any means, Arkansas won both games by at least 25 points. Adou Thiero (17.6 ppg) and Boogie Land (15.3 ppg) have been the two most consistent players for the Hogs, but Jonas Aidoo has become the steady post presence the team needed since returning from injury.
08. Mississippi State Bulldogs (11-1)
Mississippi State was one of a few SEC teams to play a quality opponent this week. MSU picked up a second win over a ranked opponent this season. This time it was on the road at No. 21 Memphis. The Bulldogs dominated from the tip and held on for the 13-point win over the Tigers. MSU also beat Central Michigan this week. The Bulldogs have been held back slightly by the loss to Butler and the three-point win over McNeese in these rankings, but MSU is still one of the better teams in the SEC.
07. Texas A&M Aggies (10-2)
A new week brings a new set of games, but the story is almost always the same for Texas A&M. The Aggies struggle to shoot the ball but dominate the offensive boards and on defense. A&M shot a little better this week against Houston Christian, making 47.1 percent from the floor, but the Aggies dominated the boards 52-25 and pulled in 20 offensive rebounds. It will be interesting to see if Texas A&M can keep this up in conference, but three ranked wins in the non-con have the Aggies in a good spot.
