The South Carolina Gamecocks have a basketball coach that just so happens to be — at least partially — insane. That’s right, Frank Martin might be a crazy person, but he is also a pretty successful coach. Granted, his South Carolina tenure might not be as awesome as some were hoping, but it hasn’t stopped Martin from giving us his one of a kind moments.

The latest being, um, donning a Kentucky Derby like hat. Now, before you judge him as having just another random meltdown, this one is for charity.

Frank Martin and his wife are hosting a “Coaches vs. Cancer” benefit. Their version of the greaty charity is called “B-Ball of the South,” and it is happening this Friday.

Here is the thing about Frank Martin. He might be a crazed, wild-eyed, monster of a lunatic on the court, but off it he seems to be pretty nice.

Oh, and pretty insane. Just a different kind of insane. You know, the kind of insane that makes you think that he steals cats at night, renames them and sells them on the black market.

Of course I am just kidding. We know he just keeps the cats for himself.
