Five-star recruit DJ Hogg commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M and Billy Kennedy have picked up their second five-star recruit in a month, nabbing small forward D.J. Hogg on Sunday evening. Hogg announced his decision on his Twitter account:

"I am very excited and blessed to say I will be attending to the University of Texas A&M #GIGEM– DJ Hogg"

Hogg is ranked as the #27 recruit by ESPN and a five-star recruit, while he’s listed as a four-star recruit for both Scout and Rivals.

An offensive weapon, Hogg is one of the best shooters in his class. With the Aggies having already nabbed five-star center Tyler Davis, one of the biggest – figuratively and literally – recruits in his class, the Aggies are well on their way to a great class. While his decision came between three different schools, Texas A&M was his home.

"Hogg’s decision came down to Texas A&M and Baylor. UCLA was in there some. But he wasn’t leaving the state. TAMU sold him this weekend.– Evan Daniels"

Aside from Arizona, Texas A&M is the only other team to nab two top-30 recruits. Davis and Hogg will make a deadly inside-outside combo for Billy Kennedy heading forward.
