Baylor basketball has consistently performed admirably under head coach Scott Drew. With this 2018 recruiting class coming in, the future remains bright.

Baylor basketball has been extremely successful under head coach Scott Drew in recent years. In fact, prior to this past season, the Bears had won at least 20 games and made the NCAA Tournament in each of the prior four years. Yet, the team failed to reach the Big Dance this past season despite the fact that the team ranked as high as 16th in the country at one point.

While this may have been disappointing for the fanbase, this down season might end simply being an anomaly. Even though the program had to bid farewell to some awesome seniors this offseason, Coach Drew is bringing in an excellent recruiting class to hopefully make up for these departures. With three incoming freshmen as well as two JUCO transfers joining the team, Baylor will have plenty of new faces heading into 2018-19.

Due to the idea that both JUCO transfers are unranked according to 247Sports, only the three freshmen are included in the team class rankings for this year. Still, even with this said, Baylor’s incoming 2018 recruiting class is ranked at 35th in the country. This is obviously an impressive overall class when considering the two transfers as well and they will surely make an immediate impact on the program.

So, with this being said, let’s break down each of the five players joining the program and analyze what they might bring to the table.
