Michigan Basketball heads to Rutgers on Tuesday night trying to bounce back from their worst performance of the year in their loss at Iowa. Can they get back on track and beat a pesky Scarlet Knights team?

Michigan Basketball comes into their game Tuesday night at Rutgers needing to get back on track after struggling offensively against Iowa. The Wolverines shot just 8-33 from the outside in their blowout loss to the Hawkeyes. The poor shooting led to a 21-2 run in the first half for Iowa that turned a five-point Michigan lead into a 14 point Iowa lead. Michigan would close the gap to five in the second half but the Hawkeyes quickly responded and the Wolverines never had a chance late in the game.

Michigan looked a step slow the whole game as it seemed every 50/50 ball went to the Hawkeyes and they were able to keep possessions alive and score on second opportunities. Iowa would also make seven more free throws than the Wolverines as they had an uncharacteristic 20 fouls on the game. While Iowa played well and forced Michigan into those mistakes it was not a good game for the Wolverines.

Rutgers is coming off a loss to Ohio State that snapped their season-best three game winning streak that included wins over Indiana and Nebraska. The Scarlet Knights have been competitive in most of their Big Ten games this year and will not be a pushover. They feel like they can compete with anyone in the conference, especially at home.

Michigan needs to come into the game ready to play and we cover three keys to how they can do that and head back to Ann Arbor with a win and a continued share of the Big Ten lead.
