Mark Few begins his 20th season at the helm of Gonzaga Basketball team, looking to continue the tradition of excellence for his program.

The 2019-2020 basketball season will mark the 21st season for Mark Few as the head coach for Gonzaga Basketball. This is his 30th season overall working on the bench of the Bulldogs. Few served as an assistant coach for the Zags for ten years prior to taking the helm of the program. Through his years with the program, Few has had a tradition of excellence with his program.

During his many years at Gonzaga Few has maintained a tradition of excellence at Gonzaga. Few led his team to the programs first national championship title game in 2017. His team has also made two Elite Eight appearance and eight Sweet 16 appearances. Few has also developed young men into amazing NBA talent, some of these players include Kelly Olynyk, Adam Morrison,  and Rob Sacre.

Few is also the winningest active head coach in NCAA history (535-118), he is tied for 17th for the fastest coach to 100 wins in Division 1, is in the top 15 among active Division 1 coaches to achieve 20 wins in a season, never having won less than 20 games in a season. The 2016-2017 season for Few is one that will go down in the history books for a long time. In 2016-2017 Few led his team to 37 wins with just two losses, and finished the season as the National runner ups in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

The 2018-19 season was the Bulldogs 20th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament a streak that has continued for Few since he was an assistant coach in 1999. After another 30+ win season, Gonzaga enters the 2018-19 season as a likely preseason top-25 team and a very good bet to make another NCAA Tournament trip.

Few looks to continue this tradition of excellence for his beloved program as he enters his 21st season at the helm of the Bulldogs. There are few college basketball head coaches in history with as good an overall resume as Coach Few and likely to be just as Few who’ll accomplish more afterwards.
