University of Delaware graduate transfer Justyn Mutts has recently narrowed down his list to Virginia Tech, Houston, and Mississippi State, here’s what he can bring to each of these NCAA Basketball schools.

Justyn Mutts announced towards the end of May that he would be entering the transfer portal and leaving the University of Delaware. Mutts is a graduate transfer who would be immediately eligible at whatever NCAA Basketball school he picks and would have two years left to play.

Mutts had a big year at Delaware averaging 12.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in his redshirt sophomore season. Mutts started 31 games averaging a little over 31 minutes each contest.

Mutts began his college career at High Point University in North Carolina where he appeared in 28 games as a freshman before leaving for Delaware. Mutts was a three-star recruit out of high school.

There were quite a few schools that were interested in Mutts including Maryland, Purdue, Boston College, and Vanderbilt. Mutts would be a solid rebounding forward and be a good defender down low for whatever team he ended up with, there’s a reason so many schools reached out.

Mutts definitely isn’t the most flashy player that’s been in the portal this offseason but he will play an important role at whatever school he ends up at. Justyn Mutts narrowed down his list to Virginia Tech, Mississippi State and Houston, here’s a breakdown of what he could bring to those teams and what kind of role he might play.
