Mark Fox – Georgia

Successful is a good word to describe Mark Fox’s days as head coach of the Nevada Wolf Pack.  After taking over for current TCU head coach Trent Johnson in 2004, he went on to compile a 123-43 record in just 5 seasons.  He was turning heads all across the country, but finally landed in Athens, Georgia.

Since becoming head coach of Georgia, Fox has had only one winning season and one NCAA Tournament appearance.  That’s been in a period of 4 seasons.  Fox is currently in his 5th season with Georgia and it may very well be his last.  The Bulldogs are heading into conference play at 6-6 and while the SEC may be one of the weakest power conferences, it still doesn’t bode well for Georgia.  They’re heading into SEC play after getting blown out by George Washington and currently have the second worst record of all SEC teams.  If I were a betting man, I’d put money on Georgia getting a new head coach.
