Most disappointing player?

JN: Mitch McGary. It’s not his fault he is hurt or anything like that. But it is still disappointing for him not to be out there to see if he would be able to keep his momentum from last year’s NCAA Tournament going or not. I was anti McGary’s NBA Draft stock soaring last year, but I was certainly in the minority. I really wanted to see how he would do this year without the help of Burke and Hardaway.

BLW:  Tim Frazier at Penn State.  I feel bad saying this because I am sure that last season’s achilles injury is still holding Frazier back a bit.  Frazier’s statistics are fine, but Nittany Lions fans had good reason to believe that Frazier’s explosive offense in the clutch would help them win a few tough games in the Big Ten.  So far, nada.

JM: I don’t mean to pick considering how good Baylor’s been, but I really don’t feel like their success has been because of Isaiah Austin, who was arguably their most important player as a freshman last season. The seven-footer may still be rusty as he rehabbed from surgery on a torn labrum this past summer, but his scoring and rebounding are considerably down from last season, which has to be hurting the draft stock of a player who was considered a lottery pick just a year ago. Austin’s still averaging an impressive 2.8 blocks per game, but he hasn’t had the impact that many expected him to.
