What is likely to happen from here on out is anyone’s guess but chances are, there’ll be more unexpected results.
A plethora of possible storylines could come out of the Sweet Sixteen. An SEC rivalry could reignite if Florida and Tennessee win their games. A track meet is likely to break out if Arizona wins regardless who their opponent is. UConn and Michigan State could meet once again late in the tournament for the first time since the 2009 Final Four. Louisville can take another step towards back-to-back national titles.
There is one guarantee, however, and that comes courtesy of the South Region — a double-digit seed will advance to the Elite Eight.
Here’s the schedule of games for the Sweet Sixteen:
South Region (Thursday, March 27, CBS): Stanford vs. Dayton begins at 7:15 pm. Florida vs. UCLA tips off at 9:45 pm.
West Region (Thursday, March 27, TBS): Wisconsin vs. Baylor begins at 7:47 pm. Arizona vs. San Diego State tips off at 10:17 pm.
East Region (Friday, March 28, TBS): Iowa State vs. UConn begins at 7:27 pm. Virginia vs. Michigan State tips off at 9:57 pm.
Midwest Region (Friday, March 28, CBS): Michigan vs. Tennessee begins at 7:15 pm. Louisville vs. Kentucky tips off at 9:45 pm
