Everyone loves Fred Hoiberg. If they don’t, well, they most be communists or something.
Hoiberg’s offensive system is the stuff ice cream is made of. An up-tempo, three-point heavy and recruit welcoming scheme that helped make Hoiberg a hot name around NBA circles — which will be a problem as far as our assumed decade of Hoiberg college basketball dominance is concerned.
If the Mayor of Ames sticks around, though, there are few coaches in the country who has as much to offer as him. An NBA pedigree, and offensive system that is as effective on the court as it is to luring in prospects and he looks like Aaron Eckhart.
Really, what’s there not to love?
