45. Charlotte Hornets – James Michael McAdoo, PF, North Carolina

Despite the Charlotte franchise taking strides into becoming a respectable basketball organization, Michael Jordan‘s still in charge and you can’t rule out him taking a UNC guy if put in a position to.
Fortunately, James Michael McAdoo could be a good fit for the Hornets. With Josh McRoberts potentially on his way out, the Hornets could use a stretch four to pair with Al Jefferson, and while McAdoo isn’t exactly efficient on the perimeter, he’s best playing off of the ball and is most comfortable facing up on the offensive end.
Obviously McAdoo has plenty of deficiencies if he was once considered a top prospect and is now a mid-to-late second round pick, but he still has good athleticism, is a decent rebounder, and made some kind of progress in being more aggressive in his junior season at North Carolina.
Again, I’m going with this pick for the Jordan/North Carolina factor, but I don’t think McAdoo would be a bad fit for Charlotte. –Jared
