ESPN reveals first half of early season tournament brackets

Diamond Head Classic
Notable Teams: Colorado, Depaul, Hawaii, Nebraska, Wichita State
Date: December 22-25
Wichita State is the big name in this tournament, and rightfully so following a 35-1 season last year. Despite losing Cleanthony Early, who broke out as a star in the NCAA Tourney, they still have plenty of talent and will look to make another run this season. A couple of rebuilding programs in Colorado and Nebraska will stand in their way, though.
Battle 4 Atlantis
Notable Teams: Wisconsin, UNC, Florida, Oklahoma, UCLA, Georgetown, UAB, Butler
Date: November 26-28
Maui Invitational included, this might be the most loaded tournament this season. UNC, Florida, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma could all be top 10 teams at this point early in the season. Add in the latter four teams, including UCLA and Butler, and you have one of the most exciting tournaments in college basketball this season. In a tournament known for upsets, expect one of the big dogs to fall, but be prepared for a great handful of nights of action.
