ACC: Top 5 Must-Watch Conference Games
By Jacob Rude
4.UNC vs. Duke, March 7
We’ll next move on to the end. On the final day of the regular season, UNC will host the Blue Devils in the annual battle on the final day of the season, rotating between locations. This season, Chapel Hill will be home to the sure-to-be intense battle. The Blue Devils could very likely be looking at a conference championship on the line while UNC has an outside shot at the same glory, but a better chance at spoiling Duke’s hopes.
For Duke, this will be the culmination of their season which, at this point, looks like it’ll be headed to Indianapolis for the Final Four. With one last chance to stamp their name as a #1 seed, Duke will certainly be taking this opportunity by the horns. Meanwhile, UNC will likely be looking to improve their seeding as they’ll be in the area of a #2-#4 seed in the tournament. A win against Duke, whether they’re undefeated or not, is about as big a win as they can have from here on out this season.
Prediction: This feels like Duke’s year. They’re built on a strong defense and a solid low-post scorer, which could save them in tight battles. Duke 81, UNC 77
Next: Louisville vs. Virginia, March 7
