    • Unlike Brooks, Delgado won’t be surrounded by talent while in Toronto. Excluding the veteran presence of former Louisville Cardinal and NBA-veteran Francisco Garcia, Delgado will be one of his team’s most relied upon contributors.

    The circumstances may allow for Delgado to expand his game in a way that we are not likely to see from him when he is playing for Seton Hall. The Pirates’ strong guard play limits Delgado’s offensive contributions to put-backs and garbage buckets. It’s a role that he has obviously excelled in, evidenced by the near double-double he averaged during his freshman campaign. However, the possibility that Delgado may have his name called on offense while playing for his country is worthy of intrigue.

    Is there potential for development within Delgado’s offensive game, or is he destined to be a limited offensive player. We’re more likely to find out in this environment, where his status as a talented college player in America will surely garner both attention and opportunity.
