ACC Basketball: ACC Basketball Power Rankings for December

No. 14 NC State Wolfpack
At one point you would have thought that North Carolina State taking out the LSU Tigers who at the time were ranked No. 22 would have been a big deal.
Since then we have learned that the LSU Tigers are very mediocre and are wasting the output of freshman phenom Ben Simmons to the point that we have to consider the Wolfpack’s victory over LSU as weak.
Overall, NC State has been weak as they are continuing to figure out who is going to bring consistent offense to the floor to go along with the leadership that Anthony “Cat Barber is bringing to the table.

Guards Maverick Rowan and Caleb Martin have both had moments that made you think that they could be the guys to take on that mantle, but it is still about consistency.
A lot of pundits actually had the Wolfpack finishing in the middle of the ACC standings at the end of this season which could still happen, but the process of figuring out how this team is going to flow is taking a little bit longer than expected.
The Wolfpack does have three winnable games to close out their non-conference schedule with a road game against Missouri and home games against High Point, UNC Greensboro and Northeastern.
Hopefully wins in these games can put the Wolfpack back on track.
