Luke Kennard Played Big for the Blue Devils
One thing that has happened because of the injury to Amile Jefferson is that freshman Luke Kennard has gotten started the last couple of games with Coach K deciding to have Brandon Ingram become a “stretch four” in the lineup.

Kennard seemed to be feeling out the situation after putting up 11 points against Georgia Southern in Duke’s previous outing, but in Madison Square he seemed to be quite comfortable and looks to be ready to make major contributions for the Blue Devils going forward.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard came up huge for Duke finishing the contest with 24 points and eight rebounds including coming up with 10 big points during the overtime period while Duke was looking to steal the game away from the Utah Utes.
When you think about what having Kennard will do to the Duke Blue Devils starting five, they are going to look real serious on the floor with all the size they can throw at you on the perimeter.
They can boast a three guard lineup with Matt Jones, Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard all playing with 6-foot-5 frames.
When those three learn how to play off of each other they are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the ACC.
