How Come Florida State Is Not Ready To Take The Next Step?

It is to early to say whether or not the Florida State Seminoles are going to be an NCAA tournament team when everything is all said and done.

But as far as this game is concerned, they really do not look ready for the tournament or even a run at the ACC Title at this point.

The reason why is because as you watched this game you saw the Seminoles make to many cheap mistakes that cost them the game.

When it comes down to it, the little things are what matter in this game and Noles’ simply did not do enough of the little things to get this game.

They showed some immaturity on the floor that eventually took them out of the game.

Not the kind of immaturity that draws technical fouls or anything like that, though Chris Koumadje but the kind of immaturity that does not pay attention to detail.

It is worth reiterating that the reason Brice Johnson was able to finish with the big game that he had is because the Seminoles at times appeared to forget about him.

If they simply would have put a body on him when he was in position for rebounds he may not have gotten so many points in this game.

When you get beat 17-10 on the offensive glass, that means you are not blocking out and finishing defensive stops.

That is about paying attention to detail. The Seminoles are not going to take the next step as a team until they take care of the little things.
