11. 2004-05 Wake Forest Demon Deacons

This Wake Forest team was fun to watch and they were very good. Outside of the Tim Duncan years, if there was ever a season that Wake should’ve made a deep tournament push, it was this year.

It’s very surprising, with the history and tradition Wake Forest has, that they’ve never won a National Championship.

This team was led by now NBA point guard Chris Paul, who is obviously pretty good with the Los Angeles Clippers. He was joined by an ox in the lane, Eric Williams. While these guys were the two well known players, this team was exciting because of the sidekicks they had: Justin Gray, Taron Downey and Jamaal Levy.

While their offense was outstanding, the defense was atrocious. That led to their second round loss to West Virginia. But the Demon Deacons were strong, finishing at 13-3 in a loaded ACC. This team deserves heavy recognition.
