10. 2008-09 North Carolina Tar Heels

Everybody knows who the highlight was of this team: Tyler Hansbrough. But they were filled with NBA talent. The roster saw Ty Lawson, Ed Davis, Wayne Ellington, Danny Green and Tyler Zeller all become professionals.

This Tar Heels team was impressive. They finished 34-4, smashing Michigan State 89-72 in the National Championship game. Three players averaged over 15 points a game making their offense highly unstoppable.

This was the last National Championship win for UNC and therefore the last dominant Tar Heel squad. Some would make the argument that the 2015-16 team was dominant, but they also played in a down year for college basketball and still couldn’t squeak out the final win. That team was nothing like the 08-09 roster was.
