8. Tyler Davis (Texas A&M)

Tyler Davis averaged 11.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a freshman, hitting better than 65 percent of his shots. He was one of Texas A&M’s best and most efficient scoring options throughout the 2015-16 season.

After losing leading scorers Danuel House and Jalen Jones, the Aggies will look for leadership from Davis this upcoming season. He’ll have more opportunities to look for his own shot this year, which should bode well for the Aggies given the level of efficiency he displayed as a freshman.

With a year of SEC play under his belt and the increased amount of responsibility he’ll have, Davis should flirt with a double-double every game. If he has that kind of success, he should pick up All-Conference honors by season’s end.
