Better Double-Up on the Deodorant: Dayton, Rhode Island, VCU

Dayton Flyers, 12-3 (3-0): After their loss to Northwestern, who is steadily proving their worth as a good team, Dayton has won their last five games. This stretch included a three-point win over Rhode Island, which, despite the closeness of the game, is a huge home victory. Back-to-back road games lead off a stretch of match-ups that the Flyers should win. The game circled on their schedule has to be at VCU on January 27th.

Missed opportunities: vs. Saint Mary’s, vs. Northwestern

Up next: @ Massachusetts (1/11), @ Duquesne (1/14)

Rhode Island Rams, 10-5 (2-1): Rhode Island’s loss to Dayton wasn’t great, but it doesn’t hurt their resume. Rhody’s biggest games prior to the conference tournament both come at home against Dayton and VCU.

Quality wins: vs. Cincinnati

Missed opportunities: vs. Duke, vs. Providence, @ Dayton

Up next: vs. La Salle (1/12), vs. Massachusetts (1/15)
