3. Free Throws

Notre Dame has the deadliest, sneakiest, most boring, and most fundamentally sound weapon in all of college basketball. Free throws. The Irish lead the nation shooting an incredible 81.5 percent from the line, as a team.

It’s such a deadly weapon because it’s pretty much guaranteed free points whenever anyone goes to the line, which the Irish do on an average of 16.2 times a game. Playing poised basketball is what separates teams in March and when the game is line Notre Dame won’t be nervous about knocking down free throws.
