17. Saint Mary’s Gaels

Previous Ranking: 18

Record: 21-2 (11-1 WCC)

Saint Mary’s might be behind Gonzaga in the WCC race, but the Gaels have no real competition behind them after beating Pacific and strangling San Diego. Struggling Portland is next up on Thursday as SMC goes for its seventh straight win.

Jock Landale had 22 and 12 in the Gaels’ close road win at Pacific. The Australian center has been excellent throughout the year and shows no signs of slowing down now. Saint Mary’s remains balanced and efficient as they look to crack the NCAA ranks this year.
