Just Missed

VCU Rams – VCU is a half-game back of Dayton for the A-10 title, but do hold the tiebreak with the Flyers if they can stay tough in their final eight games. The stretch starts tonight when the team visits George Washington.

Maryland Terrapins – Maryland took a bad loss at Penn State after falling at home to Purdue on Saturday. The Terps will try and rebound when Ohio State comes to College Park Saturday.

Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders – MTSU suffered an upset at UTEP, but still lead C-USA by two games going into a home date against Old Dominion.

Wichita State Shockers – It wasn’t that Wichita beat MVC leader Illinois State, it was that they crushed the Redbirds by 40+ points in Wichita. The Shockers are still a half-game back of the conference lead going into a game with Missouri State.

Iowa State Cyclones – Iowa State has been a roller coaster — they beat Kansas in Lawrence before losing at Texas. The fifth-place Cyclones get a great opportunity when last-place Oklahoma comes to Ames on Saturday.
