No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks at No. 4 Baylor Bears (-2)

The game of the weekend comes from Waco, TX.

For a dozen years, people have looked for someone to knock off Kansas’s run of consecutive Big 12 championships. This year it is Baylor with the best shot at the Jayhawks. However, a surprising loss to Texas Tech has the Bears back two games in the Big 12 standings. This game then translates to “must-win” territory if Baylor wants a chance at the crown.

From the gambling side of things, it doesn’t look like either one of these teams is very trustworthy.

Baylor has burned Best Bets twice over the lifespan of this article series. Once on a pick for them against Ole Miss and then against them last week against TCU. Kansas is just 3-6 over their last ten games against the spread. This is a tough one to pick.

I am going to side with the Jayhawks. Their run of conference championships is incredible and they look to be well on their way towards another one. I think this experienced team smells blood and goes into Waco and beats the Bears. It helps too that they are getting two points.

I think the strength of Kansas’ guards will maneuver around the tough zone defense of Baylor. The Jayhawks will have to account for Johnathan Motley, but expect the Jayhawks to eek out a close win to further push their dominance over the conference.

Pick: No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks (+2)
