No. 23 Creighton Bluejays at No. 2 Villanova Wildcats (-10.5)

This one at -10.5 gives me some pause with Villanova. They covered at Creighton back in December, but their betting numbers recently have not been great.

The Wildcats are 2-8 over their last 10 against the spread, including a horrible 0-5 mark at home.

Creighton’s numbers are a little bit better. The Bluejays are 7-3 against the spread in away games this year and 3-2 over their last five. Overall, the Bluejays are 17-9 against the spread this year while Villanova is 15-14.

I think Villanova will win the game today. The Butler loss will wake them up and Creighton didn’t have the firepower to hang in the first game and definitely will not now. But will Villanova be able to cover the 10.5? Recent statistics suggest they will not.

I am going to hedge with recent statistics. The Wildcats win the game, while Creighton covers the spread.

Pick: No. 23 Creighton Bluejays (+10.5)
