VCU Rams

It seems like just yesterday Shaka Smart left the VCU Rams and so many wiped their hands of this wonderful basketball program. Will Wade has done wonders in his first two seasons, proving that the success of the Rams was not just a fluke and something repeatable in the future.

The Rams are still fighting with Dayton in the hopes of securing the No. 1 seed in the A-10 tournament, but deserve to make the Big Dance no matter what happens in the conference tournament. While their lack of great non-conference wins is concerning, the home loss to the Illinois Fighting Illini is just one negative mark on an overall impressive résumé.

This VCU team deserves to make the 2017 NCAA Tournament no matter what, and we should expect them to win a game or two.
