Coaching

Kermit Davis might be the most underrated coach in college basketball, which is why so many fan bases are shouting his name in the hope that he might leave MTSU for what they mistakenly perceive to be greener pastures.

Sorry LSU and Illinois’ fans, but the only way Davis leaves Murfreesboro is for a top-level college basketball program – or Mississippi State. However, Ben Howland definitely has many more years in Starkville, so Blue Raiders’ fans shouldn’t worry about losing their coach for now.

Davis will have this team fully prepared to face off with Minnesota and whoever else they might face in the Big Dance.
