3. Jacorey Williams, PF, Middle Tennessee

We all remember Middle Tennessee’s shocking upset over Michigan State in last year’s first round of the NCAA Tournament. This team may be better, and a large part of that is the addition of Williams. However, he was not a part of that team last season, as he was a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Williams transferred to Middle Tennessee this season and has been a great addition to the Blue Raiders team. On the season Williams averages 17.3 ppg, and 7.3 rpg, while shooting 54% from the field, which helped him recently earn Conference USA Player of the Year honors.

Middle Tennessee is a popular upset pick this year and that is due in large part to Jacorey Williams. The Blue Raiders have a legitimate shot of making some noise and playing into the second weekend if Williams continues his stellar play.
