1. Keon Johnson, PG, Winthrop

Keon Johnson is an incredible talent, and, if Winthrop advances far, he will be most people’s new favorite player. The 5-foot-7 point guard is electric and can pour in points from anywhere, averaging 22.7 points a game. He was named Big South Player of the Year and is a huge reason why Winthrop is in the tournament.

Johnson has a chip on his shoulder and will do everything he can to propel his team to a win. Johnson has been playing his best basketball as of late, averaging 29.3 points in his last three games and knocking down 14-29 (48%) of his three-point shots.

If Johnson continues on this tear Butler may be in for a long day Thursday.
