6. New Mexico State Aggies

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico

First Appearance since: 2015

Name to know: Braxton Huggins (13.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 42% 3pt)

NMSU will represent the WAC for the third time in four years after beating Cal-Bakersfield. The Aggies enter March Madness as a 14-seed taking on 3-seed Baylor in Tulsa in the East region.

New Mexico State is actually a decent upset pick as they won at power school Arizona State back in November. Ian Baker leads the team in scoring and assists, but Braxton Huggins is second in scoring and a lethal deep shooter. Forward Eli Chuha and Jemerrio Jones are both double-double threats down low. Baylor is a strong team from the Big 12, but NMSU has a prime opportunity to bust some brackets and gain some fans.
