Sean Miller, Arizona Wildcats

Sean Miller is basically in the same category as Mark Few in terms of how good of a coach he is. Miller and Few are both defensive-oriented coaches who give their players freedom on the offensive end. They both also like their interior players to be able to step out and knock down 17-20 footers on a consistent basis.

Miller is in his fifth regional semifinal in eight years at Arizona. The 48-year old, who is 220-65 during his tenure in the desert, has led the Wildcats to Elite Eight three times but has not been able to take the next step. This year’s squad is Miller’s third team in the last four seasons to reach the 30 win plateau.

Prior to landing in Tucson, Miller guided Xavier for five years. He led the Musketeers to the NCAA tournament his last four years in Cincinnati, including two straight Sweet 16 appearances.
