Cameron Johnson

Former Program: Pittsburgh Panthers

Eligibility: Immediate for 2017-2018

Graduate transfer Cameron Johnson was a good contributor for a subpar Pitt squad this season. He is a very solid guy that can immediately play multiple positions for a contender next fall.

Johnson is a coach’s dream in terms of measurables. He has a great physical frame at 6’8″, 210-pounds which gives him the height to hit the post without being too heavy to slash from the wing. He averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for the Panthers. Johnson also shot just under 42% from deep on 188 attempts. His improvement this year bodes well for the team that picks him up.

There isn’t a lot out there regarding who’s contacted Johnson, but he hails from Moon Township, Pennsylvania. That just happens to be the same hometown as Kentucky head coach John Calipari. Coach Cal might not object to grabbing a player from a fellow power school.
