Huge wins over good teams

The Volunteers beat four teams that made the 2017 NCAA Tournament, including Kentucky, Vanderbilt, ETSU, and Kansas State. On top of those wins, Tennessee also had huge wins over Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Alabama, who made the NIT.

While many see “youth” as an excuse, Tennessee’s youth was definitely the reason why the Vols had extreme highs followed by devastating lows throughout the season.
