In the bubble discussion

For a portion of the 2016-17 season, Tennessee was legitimately considered a potential 2017 NCAA Tournament team. A five-game winning streak at the end of January saw them win massive games over Kentucky and Kansas State and slide into many of the projected brackets.

However, losses to Georgia and Mississippi State severely hampered that dream, and the Vols sputtered out to end the season. Just being in the discussion for a tournament berth was huge for this team and is nothing short of amazing when preseason expectations are taken into account.
