8. Wisconsin over Kentucky – 2015

Kentucky entered the tournament as the overall No. 1 seed and looked destined to become the first team to go 40-0 in a season. Wisconsin lost 74-73 in a heartbreak to the Wildcats the previous year and were able to get revenge the second time around.

The two teams used very different fundamental styles of play. Wisconsin played a slow-paced fundamental basketball and Kentucky attracts some of the best talent every year.

The Wildcats were ranked No. 1 the entire season and cruised to an SEC championship. They were playing for their third National Championship appearance in four years and once again had some of the best freshman talent in the nation.

The Badgers defeated the Wildcats, 71-64, and made their first National Championship game in 74 years. They ended the Wildcats’ quest to become the first undefeated championship team since the 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers.
